报告内容简介:

The United Nations’ projections suggest a total world population of eight billion by the year 2030, with 96% of the growth in developing countries. Consequently it has been estimated that the world energy demand could grow by as much as 70% over the next 20 years. Most of this energy demand will have to be met from hydrocarbon resources. The offshore side of the oil and gas industry superseded onshore as the source of most of the earth’s hydrocarbons. For the offshore oil and gas industry, the challenge is to continue to provide for the future energy needs of the world’s consumers from resources in difficult locations in ways which are environmentally responsible, safe and economically viable. The lecture will present the factors in the selection of a concept design for deep water offshore oil and gas field developments, and the recent research and development activities and challenges in hydrodynamics analysis of deep water platform designs.
